Domain Name Registration

If ByteWorld register your domain name for you we will register your domain names with our Name servers free of charge. Domain names moved from other DNS servers may incur an additional fee normally around £50:00.

You can divorce your current hosting provider and transfer your existing domain name to one of our excellent value Hosting Packages.

There are two different ways in which you can use your current domain name with one of our great value Hosting Packages:

" I Will Use My Existing Domain & Update My Nameservers Only "
Keep your domain name with your existing registrar, when you order your hosting account with this option all we will be providing is the hosting service.

You will need to ask your current domain name provider to modify the Nameserver records so that the domain name points to your new account with us.

" Transfer My Existing Domain "
Transfer full control of your domain name to us, this will mean that we will bill you for the renewal of the domain name when it is due.

Renewal fees are just the same as our domain name registration charges.

UK Domain Names
For .co.uk | .me.uk | .org.uk transfers there is no charge for us to take control.

US Domain Names
For .com | .net | .org | .biz | .info transfers the registration period is extended for a further year which is charged at our current domain name registration fee.

For example if you have a .com domain name which has 6 months of registration left and you transfer full control to us, after the transfer it will have 1 year and 6 months to run.

If you don't already have your own domain name we can register one for you. We register all domain names with your details so that you own the domain name, not us.

Please note the domain registration process can take 24 hours to complete.

Have you got more than one domain name for your website?
You can have multiple domain names pointing to your website, this is called domain parking. For example if your main domain is PrimeColours.co.uk, we can park PrimeColours.com on top so that both domains take you to the same website.
